Welcome to the new year! My name is Mrs. Genna, and I am so excited to be the 4th grade
teacher and Vice Principal.  In my 16 years of teaching experience, this will be my 16th year at Santa Sophia Academy!

My journey with Catholic education started as a student at University of San Diego High School or Uni (now Cathedral). I have a BA in Liberal Studies and a minor in Sociology, and completed my Masters degree and credentialing at the University of California, Riverside.

My husband and I just celebrated our 16 year wedding anniversary and I have two beautiful, vibrant daughters. We have made “our home” at Santa Sophia as parishioners for many years, and when I’m not involved with the Academy or the parish, I have really discovered my joy in the kitchen cooking up new recipes as well as spending time with my family.
